Sunday Sessions

So this Sunday I decided to go back to my favourite home comforts – spaghetti bolognese with homemade garlic bread. I’m a sucker for a hearty pasta dish and this one I have to say reminds me of my childhood a lot. Easy to follow recipe.

We Are Fstvl 2016

So the festival season has well and truly begun. This weekend alone you had Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Common People and Mutiny Music Festival to name a few. But this bank holiday my attention was turned to We Are Fstvl; a house music festival in Upminster, East London.

The McConie Company’s Jekyll and Hyde

Earlier this week (24.05.16) my step mum and I went to see Jekyll and Hyde at The Old Vic Theatre in Waterloo, a new dance thriller choreographed by Drew McConie. If you’ve read my previous post about the Olivier Awards you may recognise Drew’s name as he won an Olivier for Best Theatre Choreographer for his work on…

MAR d’FORA

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Tucked away on the cliff top in Praia de Paraiso, Carvoerio, it boasts a gorgeous set up with stunning views of the sea and surrounding area. If you decide to visit for dinner you can sit outside on the veranda and watch the warm blends of purple, orange and red…

Summer has arrived

And so the holiday season begins, my absolute favourite time of the year. Everyone’s so much happier, there’s such a feel good vibe in the air and the obligatory holiday snaps don’t go a miss. Pizarro

So today I was invited to an impromptu celebratory lunch with work colleagues which was lovely, and lets face it, you’re not going to turn down a lunch! When I realised we were heading to Jose Pizarro’s restaurant in Bermondsey I was even more excited – I had never been before but it looked incredible…

A little country pub…

I’m definitely one for loving good old fashioned pub grub and over the years I have eaten in a fair few places (seeing as though I did grow up in the countryside where there is a pub on every corner). I would always choose a hearty meal over anything else on the menu: pie and…

Royal Leamington Spa Food & Drink Festival

A few months ago I decided to take a trip to Leamington with my step mum and sister to check out the Food & Drink festival, so what better way to begin my blog. For a free festival I have to say I was impressed! The turn out was excellent and there were so many exhibitors making…
