The ultimate foodies guide to Rome

Rather than writing about the must see sights of Rome as there are many travel guides out there that do just that, I thought I’d share some of the hidden treasures I found walking the cobbled streets including restaurants recommendations from local friends. These are totally worth a visit if you can find time during your stay.

Siam Park, Tenerife

My sister and I discovered this gem of a water park hidden away in mountains in Playa Las Americas, Tenerife. With late night sessions, DJs and a beach club it couldn’t be more tailored towards adults. If you find yourself in Tenerife, you have to visit Siam Park.

Where to stay in Tenerife

When my sister and I took off to Tenerife this summer for a relaxing break we stumbled upon the best hotel I’ve stayed in for a while, Tigotan Lovers and Friends. If you need some ideas of where to stay in Tenerife, read this post.

Levison Wood, my new favourite explorer

If you are anything like me and love travelling and exploring new places then you will love this one. First thing’s first, if you don’t already follow Levison Wood then you should. Ex army officer turned explorer, writer & photographer, his story is one of a kind.

Rogano. Glasgow’s Favourite Restaurant

If you haven’t stopped by Rogano in central Glasgow yet then you should definitely add this one to your list! Titled Glasgow’s favourite restaurant, it has been around since the 1930s and lives on as a world class destination for food and drink.

Sun, sea & the cold degree

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway then Troon is a great place. Just remember your layers and that all important hat so you don’t get caught in the cold.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Tucked away on the cliff top in Praia de Paraiso, Carvoerio, it boasts a gorgeous set up with stunning views of the sea and surrounding area. If you decide to visit for dinner you can sit outside on the veranda and watch the warm blends of purple, orange and red…

Summer has arrived

And so the holiday season begins, my absolute favourite time of the year. Everyone’s so much happier, there’s such a feel good vibe in the air and the obligatory holiday snaps don’t go a miss. This week I’ve been sunning it up in a small town called Carvoerio, situated in the Algarve, Portugal with some friends….

Lake Garda – Where to stay?

Recently I posted about my summer experience living in Italy, on Lake Garda. As you can imagine there is far too much to talk about to possibly even try and fit it into one post, so here is post number 2. Although I was working in Gardone, I got plenty of opportunity on my days off and…

A summer in Lake Garda

Nearly 5 years ago now I got the opportunity to work in Italy for a summer as a restaurant host in a hotel called Grand Hotel Gardone. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love Italy as a country – the place, the people, the language, the food! So for me it was insane…
